Our Services
Cosmetic Bonding
Cosmetic Bonding
Cosmetic Bonding is hugely beneficial for covering chips, overlapping, stained and uneven teeth. We create a custom- made, tooth coloured composite that is added to the front surface of your teeth to make them look more natural. There is no need to remove any of the original tooth, as the composite material is applied directly to the tooth. A special light is applied to activate the hardening agent in the composite to make it set. The only action required prior to applying the composite is a light buffing/polish of the area being treated.
CEREC Crowns, Bridges & Inlays
CEREC Crowns, Bridges & Inlays
CEREC by sirona is the new standard in high-tech dentistry. It is available for your all porcelain dental crowns, bridges and inlays.
Remove your old leaking mercury fillings, repair broken teeth, improve aesthetics, and enjoy metal free dentistry. This can all be done in a single visit without any temporary measures and is ideal for people with limited time (Tourist r business people). No need for unpleasant impressions or a second injection (it’s all done during the primary visit). Within 45 minutes a tooth can be restored completely. We will take an optical impression with the Cerec AC Bluecam and create a 3D image of your tooth. The virtual model is then used to create a substitute for what has been lost, with the help of CADCAM technology.
Dental Implants
Dental Implants
A dental implant is a small screw made of titanium. Titanium is a metal that the body accepts most easily. It mimics the function of a tooth root. The dental implant is inserted into the bone of the jaw. Over time the jawbone integrates with the implant surface, firmly anchoring it. Under normal conditions, the healing process can take as little as 6-12 weeks. After this time the tooth replacement in the form of a single crown, bridge, or denture is secured to the implant. With implant treatment, the dental implant replaces the lost tooth root and provides a stable foundation for the replacement tooth, thus eliminating the need to grind down healthy neighbouring teeth
At J-Bay Dental studio we place a range of implants suitable for your specific needs.
Full Reconstruction

We strive to create a functional and aesthetic reconstruction. Bridges, crowns and veneers were used to replace unsightly old dentistry, align crowding and to create a functional and aesthetic full mouth reconstruction.
Gum Reshaping
Gum Reshaping
For those patients with low or uneven levels, a laser gum reshaping treatment can be performed to correct this. If a client has a gummy smile a painless gum lift can be offered.
Oral Hygiene
Oral Hygiene
Oral hygiene appointments are vital for your oral and general health. During your appointment, which will typically last 45 minutes, the hygienist will give your teeth a Professional deep clean to remove calculus, plaque and stains. Gum disease is the most common disease in the human body. Initial symptoms include bad breath and painful, swollen or bleeding gums. With treatment it can be controlled, but if left untreated it can eventually lead to tooth loss. Professional Oral hygiene cleanings are a vital part of successful prevention and treatment of gum disease and play an important role in supporting your home care routine.
During your appointment the hygienist will:
- Check your medical/dental history and ask you about any problems or concerns you have.
- Discuss your oral health; this could include the treatment and prevention of gum (periodontal) disease, receding gums or tooth wear.
- Offer oral hygiene advice, including tuition in tooth brushing/flossing technique.
- Check the appearance of your gums, to look for any plaque, bleeding, inflammation or gum disease.
- Remove hard deposits (calculus) by scaling your teeth.
- Clean between your teeth with interdental brushes
- Polish your teeth to remove soft plaque and stains
- Apply Fluoride to prevent cavities and strengthens your enamel
Oral Hygiene appointments are recommended at least every 6 months. Our hygienist will discuss with you how often you should book an appointment.
Orthodontics
Orthodontics
Fixed Aesthetic Braces
A revolutionary combination of proven orthodontic techniques and modern materials, allow us to use almost invisible braces to gently straighten and align teeth in the shortest possible time. Many cases completed inside of six months.
Removable Appliance
Crowding
We understand that patients can be unhappy with minor or severe crowding of top and bottom teeth. There are various ways to fix these problems and combining different services to achieve this is extremely effective. Our team works hard to create a very natural look with every case. This case was treated with fixed aesthetic braces, tooth whitening and bonding. Total treatment was completed in seven months.
Protruding Teeth
The most conservative way to correct these problems is with orthodontics. Many patients have teeth repositioned with veneers and crowns, this process is irreversible and has serious implications on the long term prognosis of the teeth.
Metal braces/Traditional braces
These are the metal brackets and wires that most people picture when they hear the word “braces.” However, modern brackets are smaller and less noticeable than the notorious “metal-mouth” braces than many adults remember. Plus, new heat-activated archwires use your body heat to help teeth move more quickly and less painfully than in the past.
Pros: Least expensive type; colored bands give kids a chance to express themselves.
Cons: Most noticeable type of braces.
Ceramic Braces
Ceramic braces are the same size and shape as metal braces, except that they have tooth-colored or clear brackets that blend in to teeth. Some even use tooth-colored wires to be even less noticeable.
Pros: Less noticeable than metal braces; move teeth much faster than clear plastic aligners (Invisalign).
Cons: More expensive than metal braces; Brackets can stain easily if patients don’t care for them well.
Lingual Braces
Lingual braces are the same as traditional metal braces, except that the brackets and wires are placed on the inside of teeth.
Pros: Invisible from outside.
Cons: Difficult to clean; more expensive; not appropriate for severe cases; can be more uncomfortable at first; regular adjustments take longer and are more difficult than with traditional braces.
Invisalign
Invisalign consists of a series of 18 to 30 custom-made, mouth guard-like clear plastic aligners. The aligners are removable and are replaced every 2 weeks.
Pros: Almost invisible; Patients can eat and drink whatever they want.
Cons: Will not work for serious dental problems; only available for adults and teens, not children; more expensive option; can be easily lost and costly to replace; treatment may potentially take longer.
Forsus Appliances
The American Association of Orthodontists recommends that children get screened by an orthodontist at the age of 7 because early childhood is the best time for treatment. Some children require the use of Forsus appliances to correct difficult overbites, and these have largely replaced the use of headgear for braces. The Forsus appliance is a spring worn inside the cheeks that attaches to the braces in order to adjust the upper or lower jaw into position.
Palatal Expanders
For patients who have overcrowded teeth, two options to remedy the problem are tooth extraction and palatal expansion. Tooth extraction was the preferred solution in the past, but modern orthodontists often recommend the wearing of a palatal expander for a period. This is a device that fits your palate and applies pressure to the back of your upper molars to gradually move your teeth farther apart. This expands your palate and makes it possible for other types of braces to be fitted to correct the position of your teeth.
Root Canal Treatment (Endodontics)
Root Canal Treatment (Endodontics)
Many tooth problems like extensive decay, or impact injuries, can lead to infection or death of the nerve tissue inside a tooth. This can lead to various symptoms like intensified pain, increased sensitivity, swelling of the gum, bad breath or tooth discoloration. Endodontic treatment treats the inside of deceased teeth.
The nerve is central to a tooth and often the cause of pain and discomfort.

Periodontal Treatment
Periodontal Treatment
The supportive tissue of the teeth, that is the Periodontium and alveolar bone, are frequently over looked in the course of dental treatments. As the supportive network for the teeth, any diseases affecting the bone or periodontal ligament may result in the premature loss of the affected tooth.
Gingivitis, Periodontal disease and gingival recession are examples of the diseases that may affect the tooth’s supportive tissue.
How is gum disease treated?
The main goal of treatment is to control the infection. The number and types of treatment will vary, depending on the extent of the gum disease. Any type of treatment requires that the patient keep up good daily care at home. We may also suggest changing certain behaviours, such as quitting smoking, as a way to improve treatment outcome.
Deep Cleaning (Scaling and Root Planing)
The dentist, periodontist, or dental hygienist removes the plaque through a deep-cleaning method called scaling and root planing. Scaling means scraping off the tartar from above and below the gum line. Root planing gets rid of rough spots on the tooth root where the germs gather, and helps remove bacteria that contribute to the disease. At Jbay dental studio a laser may be used to kill bacteria and assist in healing. This procedure can result in less bleeding, swelling, and discomfort compared to traditional deep cleaning methods.
Porcelain Veneers
Porcelain Veneers
A veneer is a new front surface for a tooth, custom made from porcelain. Veneers can be used to correct broken, discoloured and malaligned teeth., they can also be made extremely thin using minimally invasive technology. Their strength and appearance rivals that of natural teeth and they are used to make long lasting changes to the smile.
